Hello, my name if Elizabeth and I qualified as a dental hygienist in London in the 1980’s before coming to Australia in 1990.  I previously worked in general dental and started with Moonee Ponds Periodontics in 2007.  I have been an active member of the Dental Hygienists Association of Australia (Victorian Branch), holding a variety of positions including President from 1996-1998 and I was also a member of the Ministers Health Review Committee when the Dental Act was re-written in 1997.  I am interested in the microbiology of periodontal disease and how this can impact our bodies.  Education in how we look after our mouths can have a big impact on general health.

Katherine graduated from La Trobe University with a Bachelor of Oral Health.  During her training she also obtained the extended adult scope of practice, which means she can provide restorative treatment on patients of all ages.

Katherine has worked in both the private and public sectors and has worked hard in gaining skill with detection and management of periodontitis – otherwise known as gum disease.   This has become a passion of hers as she aims to work with her patients to improve and maintain their periodontal conditions.

Graduated from Otago University(New Zealand) with her Bachelor of Oral health degree in 2010. Then moved to Melbourne in 2012 to  work in private practices around Melbourne. She holds a dual qualification in Dental Hygiene and Dental Therapy, but had always had a keen interest in managing and maintaining her patients gum health. Part of this is setting reasonable and attainable home care routine at home. She also believes the biggest part is educating patients about their gum health, better understanding eventually leads to better motivation.

Clare began her dental career in 2002 as a trainee Dental Nurse and completed her Certificate III in Dental Assisting at RMIT in 2003. She gained early experience in a general dental practice, initially in nursing before transitioning to a front office role in 2003.

In 2008, Clare advanced into a Clinical Coordinator position at another practice, where she spent the next 18 years developing her skills in patient care, team support, and practice operations.

In 2025, Clare joined Moonee Ponds Periodontics, bringing with her a wealth of experience and a strong commitment to patient-centred care. Her approachable nature and in-depth understanding of clinical workflows make her an integral part of our team.

Hannah began her career in dental nursing at a general dental clinic, where she built a strong foundation in patient care and clinical support. Over time, she developed a keen interest in more specialized procedures, which led her to Moonee Ponds Periodontics and Implant Centre. 

She particularly enjoys assisting in surgeries, where attention to detail and teamwork are essential.

Outside of work, she loves to travel and spend time in nature.

Sandra began her dental nursing career in 2019 following the successful completion of her Certificate III in Dental Assisting. Since then, she has gained valuable experience across various areas of dentistry, including both general dental care and orthodontics. Her passion for expanding her skill set led her to complete a Certificate IV in Dental Assisting, equipping her with the qualifications to take dental radiographs and CBCT scans.

She especially enjoys assisting with surgical procedures and always makes it a priority to help patients feel calm, supported, and comfortable during their visit. Sandra’s friendly nature and steady presence make her a valued part of the team and a reassuring face for patients.

After graduating from The University of Melbourne in 2009, Ingrid has been working in both the private and the public sector  as an Oral Health Therapist (dual qualification in Dental Hygiene and Dental Therapy). She joined the Moonee Ponds Periodontics and Implant Centre team in 2022.

In her years of experience she has become very aware of taking a holistic approach with her patients. Connecting their oral health to their overall systemic health, an area where more and more links are being discovered.

Ingrid likes to build a trusting and collaborative relationship with her patients, listening to them and tailoring treatments to their individual needs. Always having her patients’ best interests at heart, she tends to go the extra mile.

As is a requirement for all practicing dental professionals, Ingrid keeps up with continued professional development and thrives on always learning and growing; allowing the most up to date and highest possible quality of care.

Ingrid lives in the Northern suburbs of Melbourne with her husband and enjoys food, reading, music and traveling. She is of English and Japanese descent and has lived in Tokyo for a time.
